Expanding Meat Naturally into Africa
With support from the Herding for Health Programme founding partners (Conservation International and Peace Parks Foundation) Meat Naturally plays a diverse technical support role to develop viable business opportunities from implementation of Herding for Health in Mozambique, Zambia, Botswana, Kenya, and Zimbabwe.
We provide online and field support to these partners as they address local challenges aimed at reducing human-wildlife conflict and improving livelihoods across Transfrontier Conservation Areas. In particular, Meat Naturally designs primary animal health care training in conjunction with the local country State Veterinary Services, and provides induction and capacitation of implementing staff.
Meat Naturally is also currently engaged with other partners in Namibia, Botswana, Kenya, and Lesotho to see how the Meat Naturally technical support and market access model could be useful for supporting conservation and development goals.
